The expected sharp fall in Nifty: Udayan Mukherjee
CNBC - Managing Editor, Udayan Mukherjee TV -18 in the NIFT on Tuesday was a huge blow. 18 years after the first of January, the Nifty closed below 5,000 level. So it is difficult to say that Google will be able to maintain the 4900-5000 level of support. Nifty likely to be below the 4900-5000 levels can not be ruled out.

According to Udayan Mukherjee, Brent crude to fall in the market can not be more encouraging. After the initial fall in Brent crude was down from $ 113. The European markets as there are negative signs.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 8TH MAY 2012

BSE Small-Cap index was up down 0.87% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 1.28% down.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was down 1.48% and S&P CNX 500 was down around 2.02%. The SENSEX closed 366 points down at 16,546 and the NIFTY stood at 5000, down by 114 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY took a heavy fall on TUESDAY shed 415 points from day’s high closed with the loss of 2.17 percent and 2.23 percent approximately. NIFTY closed below the important level of 5000 lowest since JANUARY 18. Depreciating Rupee took a heavy fall over the index tanked down by 29.75 paise against the DOLLAR. Heavy selling had been seen in Banking, Auto, Metals and Technology stocks. TCS, RELINFRA and JPASSOCIAT added the fall while GAIL, COALINDIA and HINDALCO capped the losses. Index heavy weight TCS fell by 6 percent on the session. Weak European markets also added the fuel to the fire.

HINDALCO changed 1.38% with 1, 58, 45,527 volumes

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 7TH MAY 2012
BSE Small-Cap index was up by 0.30% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 0.52% up.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was up 0.34% and S&P CNX 500 was up around 0.59%. The SENSEX closed 81 points up at 16,912 and the NIFTY stood at 5114, up by 27 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY tanked down on the initial hours of trading but took U turn later as finance minister Mr. PRANAB MUKHARJEE said General Anti Avoidance Rules ( GAAR ) to be postponed by one year. The losses were shed by inflow of foreign money and short covering in the markets. The gains were further added as Rupee bounced back took a recovery of 1 percent ended at 52.88 against the DOLLAR. BHEL, BPCL and LT led the market while gains were capped by CAIRN INDIA, JP ASSOCIATE and HCL TECHNOLOGY.

7th May trading is expected between the broad levels of 5000-5210. If the market breaches the level of 5150 on the upper side then the next resistance level will be 5210. But if nifty breaches the support level of 5040 then it may go down till the level of 5000.

Based on the running trading scenario bank nifty future is expected to trade between the broad levels of 9550-10180. Bank nifty futures can go down till the level of 9550 once it breaks the level of 9960. On the opposite side once breaking the level of 9980, it is expected to go upward till the level of 10180. Bank nifty will be trading between the narrow ranges of 10065-10220.

Nifty below 5000 will be: Udayan Mukherjee
CNBC - Managing Editor, Udayan Mukherjee -18 television that is quite disappointing to the market last week, the Nifty slipped below 5100 levels. While weakness in Nifty likely to continue and it can show the level is below 5,000. Nifty as well as the whole week is a little chance of improvement.
According to Udayan Mukherjee, France and Greece to the election results have disappointed the global markets. The markets this week may not be a good start.


Market analysts' comments
Nirmal Jain of IIFL said investors should be cautious in the market at current levels. Market and are expected to decline.At home, money, Gar, Mauritius Tax Treaty has increased the confusion already. The change of power in Europe has made ​​the situation worse.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 4TH MAY 2012

BSE Small-Cap index was down by 1.81% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 2.15% down.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was down 1.94% and S&P CNX 500 was down around 1.88%. The SENSEX closed 327 points down at 16,824 and the NIFTY stood at 5087, down by 101 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY tanked down on the last trading session added the fall in previous losses. SENSEX and NIFTY lost more than 1.8 percent and 1.9 percent respectively on FRIDAY, break the important psychological support level of 17000 and 5100 respectively. Investors are taking is as a final downtrend signal for the markets. The major concern was depreciating rupee and wording of Anti-Avoidance Rule in the finance bill took a sell off. Losses were added by weak European markets opening along with hammered by Capital Goods, Metals, and Banking stocks while pharmaceutical companies capped the falls.

BSE Small-Cap index was down by 1.00% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 1.02% down.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was down 1.15% and S&P CNX 500 was down around 1.02%. The SENSEX closed 150 points down at 17,151 and the NIFTY stood at 5188, down by 50 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY ended with weak notes at 5188 continued its fall ahead of previous session as markets traded more on global sentiments. India Rupee depreciated to 53.45 hitting a fresh four month low against the DOLLAR before Reserve Bank of India intervened yet again to stem the falls. DOLLAR is pushed up by OIL Importers and foreign banks as they made purchases on USD/INR pair. RBI sold DOLLARS in foreign exchange market at around 53.45 Rupee levels hitting an intraday high of 53.4550. Markets were tanked down by Banking and Auto stocks as banking major AXIS BANK, BANK OF BARODA and Auto giant MARUTI, HEROMOTO and BAJAJ AUTO ended in red. HEROMOTO lost 8% after lower than expected Quarterly numbers, While ASIANPAINT, TCS and WIPRO capped the fall.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 2ND MAY 2012

BSE Small-Cap index was up by 0.20% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 0.27% down.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was down 0.36% and S&P CNX 500 was down around 0.49%. The SENSEX closed 18 points down at 17,301 and the NIFTY stood at 5240, down by 9 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY ended with weak notes at 5239 after holding the level of 5250, ahead of rupee played a spoilsport closed at 52.88 against the DOLLAR as RBI is suspected to push it up taking up to intraday high of 53.02. The fall was led by Auto sector as TATA MOTORS fell by 3.65 percent after poor Quarterly numbers presented. MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA also supported the fall losing 3.2 percent on the session along with BAJAJ AUTO, GRASIM INDUSTRIES, and TATA POWER while downtrend was capped by IT counters on strong U.S. manufacturing data with DLF, BHARTIARTL, CIPLA PNB and SAIL ended in green.
