Reports on the domestic market: Udayan Mukherjee
June Series 4 per cent recorded in the Indian market. Today is going to be the beginning of July series. CNBC - TV18's Managing Editor,Udayan Mukherjee says that the July series is expected to be early. Now the news coming out of the market's eyes are set on the domestic economy, the market is expected to be a better environment.

BSE Small-Cap index was up 0.22% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 0.07% up.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was up 0.04% and S&P CNX 500 was up around 0.13%. The SENSEX closed 23 points down at 16,990 and the NIFTY stood at 5,135 down by 6 points.
BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in a tight range bound session for the third consecutive session and ended almost flat ahead of JUNE series expiry today. Investors avoided fresh positions in the markets as remained cautious over the EU summit results. Manmohan Singh may take a charge as India’s new finance minister next week as Pranab Mukherjee resigned, raised hopes to come out with some corrective measures very soon to boost up the slow pace in economy growth. However cigarette major ITC and top software exporter TCS railed 1.5 percent and 1 percent respectively while index heavy weights Reliance Industries and Larsen & Toubro declined by 0.5 percent each.
